After the first couple of days in Gjirokastra I made friends with other people who were doing different kinds of projects here. One of them had a rental car available for the day, so we decided to go for a little roadtrip.

We drove to a small village with a nice ruin on top of the hill in the middle of nowhere, half an hour from Gjirokastra. It was so beautiful! A lot greener than the surroundings of the Gjirokastra area and very peaceful. One of the best days in Gjirokastra this month!

We also visited an old bridge and ended up in Tepelene, a city near Gjirokastra and the former capital of the area. But as it was already getting dark, the pictures didn’t came out that well unfortunately.

This day was a great day though. There is still so much to see here. Good excuse to come back next year. (:
